Take time spent alone and away from all outside influences
Can you imagine a world where you had no newspapers, news stories, or conversations with relatives, friends and associates?
Most people are so caught up in all the negative conversations that they have no clue in how to live a mental and emotional ‘cluttered free’ existence. It’s not that socializing is bad it’s rather bad to be so caught up in all the drama that it affects your health and mental well being.
Question, do you take time to get away alone and recharge? Do you take solo walks away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life? Here in America our population sits at 327 million, the world just surpassed 7.5 billion. There is so much mental and emotional pollution out there that not a moment goes by that we are not affected by it. Road rage, drug and alcoholism, failed relationships, job stress…it’s all interconnected to what is a mad, mad world. And it’s nearly impossible to escape the madness.
I decided awhile back to stop, reading newspapers, watching news programs and listening to talk radio. Yet I still cannot escape the negativity and propaganda that is being sent my way 24/7, 365 days a year. And where can I find a campground or park that is not overrun with people and their drama?
How much depression, mental illness and strife is directly linked to these outside forces? How many issues do we have that are self inflicted, compared to the number brought on by all the negativity beamed at us?
I believe it is time for all of us to take a deep breath, and run as fast and as far into the wilderness as we can, not stopping until all we hear and see is nature. And we need to do this on a regular basis for our own mental, emotional and physical well being.
